Please review an update on the following three items:
Job Preferences Profiles – Over 2,300 PGA Professionals have completed a profile, without any promotion to date. We are ready to begin promoting this new undertaking and are asking for your support in sharing the update with your membership. Career Consultants will be speaking on this topic during Spring Meeting presentations as part of the evolution of the technology resources available to members and employers. As a reminder, this is the future replacement of the Careerlinks Profile as we transition from the "closed", employer focused platform that Careerlinks was, to the more "open", member focused, architecture of our current job board. We will be reviewing promotional materials and articles with the Career Consultants this week and they will share the information with each Section in the immediate future.
Compensation Survey 2020 – The Compensation and Operations survey’s will both be getting a re-boot this spring. The current, one-time, annual surveys will not be conducted as it has been done in the past. The survey will be replaced in short order with a more profile-based data collection system that will allow us to capture more accurate data in real time. It will be the answer to many questions that get raised annually such as, “why do you I have to fill out what you already know about me”, “why does there have to be a deadline”, and “why doesn’t my info from last year pre-populate”. We know this will provide some short-term pain for some, but as employers and members go to varied sources for this information (GuideStar, Section Survey’s, etc..) we need to evolve this process for long term success. All current compensation survey data, reporting, and support is still in existence so please utilize your Career Consultant as needed.
Southern Ohio ED - PGA Career Services is working with the SBO team on the search for an Executive Director for the SOPGA. We will be reviewing an overall compensation package with the Section Officers this week with the goal of total compensation package in the $100-$125k range.
Please let me or your Career Consultant know if you have any questions.
All the best,
